Just noticed that my blog received in total 1024 (equivalent to 1 megabyte) hits today. Yeh! After 3 months of blogging finally able to breakthrough the 1000 barrier. Hopefully more to come. happy happy happy…

My #1024 Hits

Anyway I think I surpassed Susan’s hit due to 1 post in my blog titled “I Loved You” which is dedicated to my girlfriend. I tagged it using “love” and somehow it seems like a lot of people is searching using “love” as a keyword. Hence my site received lots of hits due to this single post alone.

Lots of people looking for LOVE πŸ™‚

Looking forward me my next breakthrough at 5000 hits πŸ™‚

JustLife Organic Products

I would like to share with you some products that we bought from JustLife shop in Melaka. JustLife promotes healthy lifestyle by introducing organic and environmental friendly products which is quite interesting. My girlfriend and I became their regular customer and enrolled as member. Normally we will purchase some organic foods either as breakfast or as supplementary food to improve health condition. You and learn more about this from their website at Here are some of the products which I bought this week. ( Price indicated is member price as of 24th June 2008 )

Manuka Honey (UMF 25+) – RM88.20/250gm

This is one of the product that I think is highly recommendable for those with gastro-intestinal disorders. My g/f used to have esophagitis or GERD problem which always cause her to have stomach pain especially after meal. After taking Manuka honey for several months as well as taking doc’s medicine and control her diet, now the problem is gone. Manuka honey also improved the constipation problem that once bugged her. If you have similar issues I think you should try this (of course you will need to look after your food intake as well otherwise nothing can help you). You can see more info about Manuka honey from this website: (although it is different brand but I think the effects are more or less the same) There are several categories of UMF rating, such as 15, 18, 25 etc, but higher = pricier. Ask for their recommendation for the problem that you are facing.

Hot Oatmeal with Apple Cinnamon – RM 13.40/8 small packets

Next is the Hot Oatmeal with Apple Cinnamon which is quite tasty. Just add hot water then you will get a wholesome breakfast. Quick, easy and healthy.

Baby Rolled Oat – RM 6.20/500gm, Oat Bran – RM 7.10/500gm

G/f bought this for her mum. I think the taste is quite plain but its healthy food. Just add milk.

Bamboo Charcoal – RM 30 for 3pcs (depends on size)

You will be surprised with what this can do for you. This is sort of a natural cleanser/absorbent. My room used to be stuffy and smelly (as sometime i sweat at night) but after I placed few of this bamboo charcoal in my room, WALLA no more stuffy smells! You can place it in the water to sort of purify it and there’s many other usages, just ask the shop assistant and they will tell you about it.

Lifestories Monthly Magazine – FOC for members

We like the magazine very much as it contains information such as healthy lifestyle, organic products, environmental protection and etc. They don’t post the magazine to you, instead you will have to pick up the magazine from the shop which is perfectly ok for us as we go there almost monthly.

Lately the shop no longer provide plastic bags, instead they encouraged us to bring our own bag when visiting the shop. I think its a good idea and I hope other shops / shopping complex will start to do the same too. Plastic is bad for our earth so we should use less of it.

Talking about plastic and it’s harm to the planet, why not you check out this this blog, quite interesting on how to live a plastic-free life :

Happy birthday to me! ~_~

First thing that come to my mind is it’s 2008, 2008, 2008 and its not 1976(year i was born).

Why? Because 2 years ago on this day I was sending an memo via email to everyone in the company about some updates. In the memo when I type out the date, instead of 25-06-2006 I typed 25-06-1976 since I was so get used to writing this date.

After I sent the email out then after a short while I received call from some colleagues wishing me happy birthday-I was puzzled why they know its my birthday, and when I go to canteen I can see people smiling at me then I realized that something was wrong. Haha finally someone told me the mistake in my email. Gosh so damn paiseh o_o !!

So, since that day I always double and triple check my email before I sent it out, especially on my birthday πŸ™‚ No more screwing up and becomes laughing stock.

By the way, on my birthday I just wanted to say thanks to my mum, because of her ‘hard work’ then only I have a birthday to be celebrated (though I don’t really celebrate my birthday as Its not that important). Thanks mum!

I hope as I grew older I will become wiser as well…

Love & Peace.

Cant think of a suitable title for my post today. Just came back after a meeting in Shah Alam today. Sleepy, tired and hungry, and worst of all a crap meeting what didn’t meet my expectation. Tomorrow will have a business trip to Singapore again, for 3 days. Huh this month full of outstation business trip.

So many things to be considered lately, and I think will have to make a decision soon about one of the turning point in my life. Didn’t expect to expedite it but I think under this circumstances I have no other choices. Anyway not a bad thing at all, just something happened that I got to change my plan accordingly.

On the other hand, I am still trying to workout my next phase of my career. Luckily my boss is very supportive and today we had a discussion after the meeting, that we almost clear about what which project I will handle and where to be located. Anyway still a long way from realizing this as there’s too many people involved in the decision making chain so got to wait and see. But I hope within the next 6 month everything will be cleared and I will know for sure what is the company’s arrangement. I still hope to work for this company because I have a vision of what I wanted to achieved. I know I probably will be able to do the same thing in different company but i prefer to do it here, because I felt that the company still got lot’s of untapped potential.

Best of luck to myself πŸ™‚

Life is so unpredictable. It never goes according to plan, no matter what. *sigh*

I received a bad news related to someone close to me. Although pending for confirmation but its a shock to me. Such thing never came across my mind before and yet it happened. Really sad…

Well, what we can do now is to pray and hope for the best, while plan for the worst. We will need to equip ourself with knowledge and courage to go through this. There’s still a chance that the situation might not be as bad as we what we have predicted. Finger crossed……

To all, let’s cherish the moment that we can spend with our beloved one. We will never know what will happened tomorrow so let’s live our life to the fullest.

Peace and happiness – for all.

Chiang Mai Trip – Dec’07 (Part 3/5)

*~~*~~*~~*~~ Part 3 *~~*~~*~~*~~*

3.1 Day trip to Lampang

Based on the recommendation of Nine (innkeeper of our guest house) we rented a private car and a driver. Our driver’s name was Mr. Kon and he was our driver and tour guide for the day. He able to communicate in English and was really a nice chap. Our destination was Lampang, about 1 hour+ drive from Chiang Mai City. The driver pick us up from our guest house, then we visited a old temple which i forgot the name of it, then we went to Lampang for elephant ride, bamboo rafting, visits Elephant Conservation Centre, day market and ends with a visit to massage center (which is a complementary service by Mr. Kon as it was not in our original travel plan). Here’s some photo taken during our trip to Lampang.

We have never ride an elephant before so the initial feeling was “WOW!!!” It was quite scary as we sit on the back of the elephant and the mahout sitting in front of us. It was quite a bumpy ride and at times we felt that we were going to fell off. Anyway its quite amazing that the elephant moves without much noise considering the size of it. The whole adventure consist of riding through a flat land, then into the jungle, up and down a hill, then the mahout suddenly went down from the elephant and asked me to be the mahout by sitting right on top of the elephant’s head. I was quite scary because I dont know if the elephant likes me or not. Then I got to ‘drive’ the elephant to go down hill and across a small river and back to our starting point. That’s quite an adventure for us πŸ™‚

Our shadow, with Mahout in front and 2 of us sitting at the back

Elephant actually is quite an hairy animal πŸ™‚ When I sat on top of his head I can feel his solid hair piercing through my jeans, quite uncomfortable actually.

We decided to take the bamboo rafting through a river, rather than white water rafting. Hehe I scared of drowning as I can’t swim at all. Anyway the bamboo rafting was quite interesting as we travel through the jungle’s river. The air was so refreshing that we hope we can spend more time there. By the time we reached the end point my pant was all wet. Luckily they have stall selling shirts and pants so I just purchase a new one and change it on the spot πŸ™‚

Lots of negative ions, very refreshing! Lots of fun too.

Some part of the river is quite calm and some the current is quite strong.

Then we visited the Elephant Conservation Center. There was this colorful elephant parade as we arrived there. Noticed this long elephant tusk ? I wonder how old this elephant is.

Elephant Show. Mostly demonstrated was the skills the elephants have used in the logging industry in the past as well as other skills that show us how amazingly intelligent they are.

“Picasso” at work. I have heard that elephant can draw but seeing it doing a live performance is unbelievable.

His drawing skill is 100 times better than me πŸ™‚

If I didn’t tell you would you have guested that this drawing came from an elephant ? πŸ™‚

This centre does a lot of good work in supporting and caring for elephants that have been born, orphaned, injured or donated. Here I am feeding a baby elephant. I didn’t know that elephant eats apple πŸ™‚

Awww… ain’t he cute ? πŸ™‚

Mother elephant grabbing dried grass from my gf. Mother elephant’s name is Pung Pompong. Cute name πŸ™‚

On our way back to Chiang Mai city we stopped at the day market along the road side. Its quite a huge market place and there was a lot of weird things on sale. Quite an eye opener actually. After this we felt really tired and our feet sored, so our driver sent us to a massage center for full body massage. Then he pick us up again and sent us back to our guest house. It was a really tiring but exciting day for us.

3.2 Day Trip to Doi Inthanon

On day 3 we booked a day trip to Doi inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon is the highest peak in Thailand which is 2565m above sea level. Along the way there were various waterfalls and tribes villages along the way up to the summit. The tour agency pick us up in front of our guest house, in a 10 seater van. In our group there were some Thai people, a Japanese and we Malaysian.

Our first stop was the Wachiratharn Waterfall, a beautiful waterfall indeed. It’s one of the many waterfalls in Doi Inthanon and I think this one provides the most beautiful view (But we didn’t visit all the waterfalls so there maybe some other which are breathtaking as well)

A quick visit to the Karen’s village.

We stopped at the Royal Garden Siribhume. Very beautiful garden!

Lot’s of people camped here. I think they were here to celebrate 2008 New Year.

One thing we didn’t expect to see was Sakura flower. I thought we only able to see Sakura in countries such as Japan or Korea or China πŸ™‚

Beautiful isn’t it ? Calm and peaceful feeling.

Sakura flower close up. This is the first time my gf saw Sakura flower and she was very excited πŸ™‚

This small girl was selling dried flowers. Its quite pity that they have to work as such a young age. Anyhow when she asked for “free money” I hesitated and didn’t give any because I felt that she need to understand that nothing is ‘free’ in this world. But I bought 2 bunch of dried flower from her.

There’s a military setup on top of the Doi Inthanon. I think its a radar center. After I took this photo then I realized that photographing of the center is totally prohibited πŸ™‚

Highest point in Thailand, too bad it was too crowded so we didn’t manage to take our photo there. The weather was quite cold, around 11C so anyone going there should at least bring along a jacket.

On top of the Doi Inthanon there are 2 chedis – Napamaytanidol Chedi. These temples were built to honor the 60th birthday of the King and Queen in 1987 and 1992 respectively. The Chedi was facing each other on neighboring hills, about 100 meters from each other.

Yours truly.

There was this beautiful garden around the chedis.

Buddha’s statue inside the Queen’s chedi.

Since no one there to help us so we have to take our own photo by ourself πŸ™‚ Anyway the view is breathtaking and we enjoyed our trip to Doi Inthanon very much. Definitely a must-visit place for anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

*~~*~~*~~*~~ End of Part 3 *~~*~~*~~*~~*

Back from Singapore

I just came back from a 3 days business trip in Singapore. Besides the crazy/stupid/idiotic news about our gomen increasing the petrol price by 41%, everything else is ok. Had a meeting with our top brass from Japan and we discussed the issues related to my work.

I was able to inform them frankly about my present difficulties and my expectations. On the other hand I also came to know that they have some projects and I might be able to participate in. Anyway, nothing is firmed yet because they need to further evaluate what is the best for myself and the company. One thing that I am grateful was that they pay attention to my personal goal rather than all the usual “how you can contribute to company” thing. I am glad to be able to meet up with them because not always one will have chance to meet up with top management and convey the message in a direct and frank method.

I think there will be some decision by end of the year on how we should proceed. I am really hoping to be able to be able to work in other countries while I am still young. Until then, I still have several projects to be completed so I will have to keep my motivation level high πŸ™‚
